The Rhythm of Process
Spring 2007
Project: To design a commemorative box set including a 120 page typeset book, a dvd, and 30” x 40” poster(not seen here) in memory of an activist/revolutionary/artist etc.
Solution: Amilcar Cabral lead Guinea Bissau and the Cape Verde Islands free from Portugal’s imperialist hold through guerilla battles, many of the weapons used were stolen and in crates. Much like the weapons used, I believe Amilcar Cabral to be the weapon himself that ended the war and therefore his words are in the form of a sleek gun-like book inside a crate. Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop/digital photography/editing/typesetting/binding/box building/binding/general production.
